Running errands
Often you can both run errands and catch a sunset on the same trip. This evening I had to buy some stuff and also refuel the car. Across the street from the gas station, there is a small pond. In the back of my head, I was thinking that that place may be a good spot för some landscape images.
I think many people who want to photograph landscapes believe it is a bit of a project to get a good picture. Maybe they follow many of the fantastic photographers with popular Youtube channels as I do. Now I'm not talking about photos that win international competitions or generate money, but a reasonably good image, a pleasant memory. To be honest, much of what is posted by professional photographers are not magical pictures. Even though they have a percentage higher than ordinary people like us of stunning images in their portfolio.
In this case, I have been seeing some ponds as I drive past, which I have done many times. So I brought my camera and drove to the gas station, refueled and shopped what I needed. Then I walked across the street and sat down on a small slope. I took some pictures for some 20 minutes and then I drove back home. A short trip with a decent outcome and errands executed.
